Details:
Position Summary:
• Provides clinical assessment, short term counselling, resources and referrals.
• Position is currently 4 days/week (28 hours).
• Requires flexible hours, including some early evenings.
• Hourly wage and benefits package in accordance with professional standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Primarily individual counselling (age 12 and up, mostly adults), some couples and families.
• Counselling for a diverse population and equally diverse issues.
• Clinical referrals to community resources and case management as needed.
• Maintenance of clinical case notes using case management software.
• Preparation and delivery of wellness presentations and workshops to member companies as requested.
• Works effectively and collaboratively as a member of the UIC team, reporting to the Executive Director.
Qualifications & Experience:
• Mandatory minimum Master’s Degree in Counselling Psychology or Clinical Social Work from a recognized academic institution.
• Mandatory certification or registration with a professional licensing body.
• Ideal candidate will have 5 years minimum experience.
• EFAP counselling experience an asset.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills. Efficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
