Cermaq Canada is seeking to fill the position of full-time Fish Health Technician within the Fish Health Department.
As a Fish Health Technician, you will report directly to the Fish Health Manager.
The key function of this role will be to provide operational support to the Fish Health team and Saltwater farm sites.
In addition to camp-based accountabilities which include monitoring and reporting on fish health issues, implementing control measures, and advising management on environmental and biological aspects of the farm operations, the successful candidate must also be capable of supporting other Fish Health department projects, initiatives and/or work assignments.

Qualifications & Experience:
Application requirements:
• Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others.
• Experience in the aquaculture industry with a preference for salmon production.
• Safety oriented mindset.
• Proficient MS Word, MS Excel, and technical report writing skills.
• Travel to and from the barge for shifts is largely arranged by Cermaq.
• This is a full-time camp-based position with the exact schedule to be determined.
• Preference will be given to candidates with either post-secondary aquaculture education or an equivalent combination of education and/or related work experience
