Details:
The Bookkeeper is responsible for maintaining the financial records of our company. We are looking for an experienced candidate who is organized, professional, able to work independently and as a team member, able to multitask, and has a working-knowledge of full-cycle bookkeeping and accounting. This is a part-time position, with a flexible schedule.
Key Responsibilities and Duties:
-Knowledge of and proficiency in full-cycle accounting duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and account reconciliation
-Posting journal entries and reconciling accounts, preparing trial balance of books, maintaining general ledgers and preparing financial statements
-Researching and resolving payment and expense discrepancies
-Preparing monthly bank reconciliations and multiple credit card statement reconciliations
-Preparing and complete adjusting entries
-Preparing all government remittances, including Source Deductions remittances, GST, PST, WCB, and Corporate Tax installments
-Assisting with the year-end preparations
-Preparing T4's and ROE's
-Corresponding with the CRA regarding requests/audits, and assembling these requests

Qualifications & Experience:
Experience in Bookkeeping/Accounting
Experience with Quickbooks/Sage
