Details:
The Better at Home Program Coordinator is responsible for the coordination of this United Way of the Lower Mainland funded program, including recruitment and supervision of contractors and volunteers, administrative processes, working with referring agencies, as well as monitoring and evaluating the program. Position is 28 hrs/week.

Qualifications & Experience:
• A passion for working with people, in particular seniors and elders
• Understanding of community development and building on community
strengths
• Basic computer skills with at least experience in Word and Excel.
* Experience working with Seniors and an understanding of issues facing the
aging population, particularly in a rural setting
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and with limited supervision;
• Demonstrated respect for individuals and groups and an understanding of the
local First Nations and other diverse cultures of the Port Hardy area;
• Good interpersonal and skills
