Cermaq Canada is seeking to fill a new permanent full-time role of Project Coordinator to our Campbell River Administration Office.
The Project Coordinator advances the technological sophistication of the Production and Fish Health Department by supporting execution of a variety of projects from funding to closure. You will report to the Fish Health Manager.
Key Accountabilities:
• With an awareness of the production cycle, be able to support the production teams where necessary to execute, track and trend progress, assist in reporting and close projects underway on the sites
• Actively participate in projects that may have an impact over several production locations in order to ensure the production staff are effectively supported for project success
• With oversight by the Fish Health Project Manager / Innovation Director / Fish Health Director, contribute to the design, construction, implementation, follow up and close of projects within the department
• With knowledge of the production cycle, actively participate in the identification of potential projects and creating effective means of measuring project success.
• Identify gaps and areas of improvement in Management System Manuals to allow for more effective reference material for production teams
• Resolves complex problems that may require cross divisional support in such a manner that organizational goals and efficiency are maintained
Qualifications & Experience:
Your Position Requirements:
• Solid understanding of Saltwater Production
• Experience coordinating and tracking technical or science projects with multiple stakeholders considered an asset
• Post-secondary education in an aquaculture related science or technical degree an asset
• Working knowledge of programs for the development and manipulation of technical drawings an asset
• High level of verbal communications skill
• Intermediate level of writing skills
• Intermediate level of knowledge of databases
• The ability to gain a solid understanding of Cermaq Canada’s policies and procedures
