JOB PURPOSE & RESPONSIBILITIES:
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
1-Preparing and presenting nutritious meals for Lighthouse Resource Centre guests and Sobering
and Assessment program.
2-Ensuring Food Services comply with Food Safe regulations, Canada Food Guide, and
approved menu plan. Log all data as required for kitchen.
3-Makes use of and decides on best use of resources, including donations to minimize
waste.
4-Ordering, receiving, monitoring and correct storing of food and kitchen supplies.
5-Ensuring food services purchases remain in line with monthly budget.
6-Ensuring preventive maintenance procedures are followed for all food-services equipment.
7-Maintaining Food Services area and equipment to a high standard of cleanliness.
8- Daily cleaning of facility as outlined in task list.
9- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Experience:
QUALIFICATIONS:
The successful candidate will have completed high school some post-secondary education in food services, will be fluent in both written and spoken English and be able to meet physical demands such as lifting/carrying items weighing up to 40 lbs.
The successful candidate will also be required to show proof of the following:
Food Safe Level I
First Aid Certification
WHMIS Training
Valid Driver’s License and clean driver’s abstract
Criminal Record Check
Immunization for Hepatitis B, and vaccination against Tuberculosis
