We have an amazing opportunity for an individual looking to gain some experience in a medical office where we value you as a person and not just your certification.
Responsibilities for this role will include but, not be limited to:
-Greeting patients
- Answering phones, confirming appointments, and providing instructions regarding patient appointments
- Patient scheduling and follow up
- Front reception including check in and managing rooms
- Creating and maintaining up-to-date patient charts
- Managing and faxing patient reports and consult letters
- Maintaining patient confidentiality and other administrative duties as assigned
-Other data entry, uploading of files/documents.
There may be an opportunity for more hours if the candidate is willing to commute one day every second week and work a bit from home.
Qualifications & Experience:
Preferred Education, Skills and Qualifications:
-MOA certificate is a bonus but not necessary.
-Experience in the health care industry (professional or personal) is even better.
-Excellent communication skills and command of the English language
-Proficient with computers and experience with EMR (Telus MedAccess is an asset)
- Excellent customer service with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Outstanding organizational skills
