Details:
We are currently looking for a Sous-Chef to join our team at Painter's Lodge and April Point Resort & Spa! Staff accommodation available for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities and Accountability:
Work with the Executive Chef to produce diverse menus in accordance with the restaurant’s policy and vision
Produce high quality dishes that follow up the established menu and level up to location’s standards, as well as to guest requirements
Plan the food design in order to create a perfect match between the dish’s aspect and its taste
Discover talented chefs and train them in order to reach the high standards of the location
Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours and assist in making schedules
Assist in developing a cross-marketing strategy in order to increase profit, such as pairing drinks with the food served
Extensive knowledge on Kitchen Health and Safety regulations
Excellent attention to detail and well developed organizational skills
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Assist with monthly inventories
Qualifications & Experience:
Training in culinary schools is an asset
Proven experience as a Sous Chef
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Excellent record of kitchen and staff management
Accuracy and speed in handling emergency situations and providing solutions
