Details:
Working within the Harvesting Department, you will provide support to the sites by ensuring the following type of work is
executed in a safe and professional manner.
Responsibilities:
• Ensure the health and safety of yourself and others, safety and security of the vessel, and the protection of
the environment from pollution from the vessel.
• Strictly follow specified Marine Harvest policies, operating procedures, and company standards.
• Participate in safety and emergency training and drills, crew familiarization, mentoring and training of
new personnel, (etc.) as well as completing documentation as required.
• Harvesting fish with attention to fish husbandry and welfare.
• Handle seine and harvest pen rigging set up / tear down, grower nets, and movement of freight.
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications:
• Domestic Vessel Safety (DVS), Marine Emergency Duties (MED), and certificates in ROC-M / MC (radio
license), Marine First Aid are preferred.
• Deckhand experience or a combination of vessel certification and related work experience.
• Strong work ethic essential. Must have the ability to work effectively in a high intensity, physically demanding project
related environment.
• Highly organized, with good time management skills.
• Team player with developed communications skills and interpersonal abilities including conflict resolution.
• Self-motivated, able to work both independently and in a team environment.
