As a Learning & Development Coordinator you will:
Assess training needs for new and existing employees;
Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to create and deploy appropriate content;
Leverage, build and maintain training programs (ie: online courses, webinars, instructor-led courses, cross-training, job aids, performance support tools, social learning and peer training);
Provide orientation training for new employees, and ongoing soft-skill training;
Research, develop and deliver training and tools to support the business;
Inform employees about training options;
Support career paths and training plans for individual employees;
Track and report on training outcomes;
Maintain employee training records;
Handle logistics for training;
Manage and maintain in-house training spaces and equipment;
Maintain a library of training resources and career development opportunities;
Evaluate training and development programs;
Have the opportunity to work from home.
Your knowledge, skills & abilities include:
Post-secondary education in related field or equivalent combination of education and/or work experience preferred;
Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills;
Strong organization skills as they pertain to coordination of program and service delivery;
Detail-oriented and the ability to set priorities and objectives;
Displays initiative, tact, diplomacy, good judgement and uses discretion with highly confidential and sensitive employee information;
Proficiency using MS Office with a particular emphasis on Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook;
Human Resource and/or learning & development experience desired;
Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) or other online training platforms, or familiarity with applicable software used to facilitate training;
Experience using videoconferencing tools and technologies (Skype, Highfive, Google);
Banking industry experience an asset;
A valid driver’s license, access to a vehicle and the ability to travel throughout the communities we serve.
