Details:
This position is full-time (35 hours per week) and work will be conducted out of the Quatsino First Nation’s Band office.
Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Consistently build upon relationships with families, and staff within our community
• Creatively approach healing in the community, as well as supporting individuals to heal
• Provide information of the surrounding agencies and referrals where required
• Ability to provide individual counselling on multiple issues, when needed
Qualifications & Experience:
Qualifications and experience:
• Certificate, diploma, or degree in Mental Health or Social Services fields
• Minimum 1-year work experience in this field, or field closely related
• Must keep the highest level of confidentiality and respect of each client
• Must have strong written and verbal communication skills
• Must have experience managing crisis intervention
• Must have knowledge of the impacts of colonization and residential schools
• Must have a valid class 5 drivers’ licence
