Administrative Assistant
Storey Creek Golf Course is looking for an Administrative Assistant, who will report directly to the Business Manager. The successful candidate must be able to work independently and as a member of the team. She/he brings strong communication skills, problem solving capacity, attention to detail and professionalism to the position. Environment is social, fun & active, and customer engagement is an everyday, on-site experience, so skills in, and enjoyment of, interacting with many different kinds of people is also a must.
Responsibilities will include (but not limited to):
- Accounts Payable, including semi-monthly cheque runs and all vendor communications
- Accounts Receivable, including Customer Account management, collections, etc.
- Payroll backup
- Daily Sales Cash outs and deposits
- Weekly town runs
- Other administrative duties as required
Skills must include:
- Bookkeeping/Accounting education or relevant experience
- High level of organizational skill and attention to detail, with ability to problem solve when needed
- Experience/ease with electronic payment methods, Word and Excel
- Excellent cash handling
- Position includes weekly town runs requiring lifting. Physical ability for repetitive lifting is necessary to be able to function effectively in this role.
- Good communication skills
- Be honest, trustworthy and demonstrate a strong work ethic
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality concerning financial information
- Ability to effectively manage multiple responsibilities and a variety of duties
- Knowledge of/or experience with Food/Beverage would be an asset but not required
