Comox Valley Art Gallery Youth Media Project participants receive:
-Full-time (30-34 hrs/wk) minimum wage training and employment (13 Weeks)
-Experience in video production, basics of graphic design & editing skills
-Consultations in career development

Youth Media Project is a program for community action through media involving 9 participants between the ages of 16 – 30. In this 13-week program, youth receive training in video production, gain employability skills, and work with a network of community partners to create videos - highlighting community resources, and presenting ideas for community change.
ANTICIPATED START DATE: January 14, 2019
This is a full-time 13-week program, Monday to Friday, 9:00am-3:30pm (4:30 for Work Experience portion).
This project is funded by the Government of Canada. Partners: Wachiay Friendship Centre, Creative Employment Access Society, Imagine Comox Valley.
Qualifications & Experience:
TO APPLY YOU MUST BE:
-Interested in art & video
-Between the ages of 16 and 30
-Not attending school full-time
-Legally entitled to work in Canada
-Not on EI
-Experiencing barriers to employment
