Details:
This is a 6 month contract position. The purpose of this role is to provide administrative support to the maintenance department.
Key Accountabilities:
- Compile, type, edit and distribute departmental correspondence, spreadsheet reports and Powerpoint presentations.
- Handle repair and maintenance requests for equipment and facilities in the priority order of importance to the operation and follow up through completion
- Input data and run reports utilizing computerized maintenance management system
- Monitor scheduling to minimize overtime without compromising service and maintains record of all overtime
- Assures the availability of parts in a cost effective manner
- Prepares purchase orders for all equipment, tools, material or services, obtains approval for same and places the order and coordinates payment with Accounts Payable
Qualifications & Experience:
Grade 12
Post secondary education an asset
Valid Drivers Licence
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Strong attention to detail
Strong computer skills with good working proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
Able to work in fast paced environment with multiple deadlines
Able to multi-task
Analytical skills
