Holbrook Dyson Logging Ltd. is looking for a Contract Heavy Duty Mechanic with Service Truck to assist our mechanical shop department for our Northern Vancouver Island operations near Woss, BC. Experience working with coastal logging equipment – grapple yarders, hydraulic log loaders, excavators, and highway logging trucks is essential.
HDL is an award-winning logging company on Vancouver Island, BC, employing approximately 40 people and contractors to conduct falling, yarding, loading, hauling, road maintenance, and road construction operations.
Heavy Duty Mechanic Red Seal Certification (NOC: 7312) preferred
Experience repairing and maintaining logging equipment required
Valid BC Driver's License and Clean BC Driver's Abstract
Ability to work safely, using directed PPE
Completes tasks in a timely fashion
Can work independently and be part of a team
Intermediate or Advanced First Aid is an Asset
Full-Time/ Permanent

Shift: 7 days on / 7 days off
Rate: $120/hr
