The Opportunity:
Western Forest Products is seeking Log Truck Drivers with BC coastal logging experience, to join our Nootka Forest Operations in Gold River, B.C.
This site runs a continual shift and is a United Steelworkers (USW) operation, and truck drivers are currently on a 5x2 shift (5 days on, 2 days off).

Tucked in between the Gold and Heber Rivers, Gold River sits at the heart of Vancouver Island. Gold River is the perfect paradise for outdoor enthusiasts as there you will find wilderness and wildlife abound! There are many great things to do and see, from kayaking and surfing to hiking the Nootka trail to exploring the rich local artistry that the region provides. The highway into Gold River has been named in the top 5 best biking roads for the last 20 years because of its natural winding path with nicely banked curves. The scenery that follows the highway is some of the best in the world. A full-service community center provides access to a pool, gym, ice rink, curling rink, squash and racket courts. Qualifications & Experience:
Who You Are:
• The successful applicant will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the past 5 years with BC Coastal Logging.
• Preference is for applicants with a valid OFA Level 3 First Aid Certificate, but all qualified applicants will be considered
• All applicants must have a valid BC Driver’s license and be able to provide a driver’s abstract with resume.
• Excellent safety record and strong work ethic
• Excellent time management skills
• Accountable and dependable
