Details:
The VCEC will support growth in volunteer services and community engagement initiatives. Maintain the VCR resource centre, provide reception, administrative services and support to staff, board, volunteers, member organizations and the Executive Director. Manage and grow volunteer advising and outreach services. Administer the Better Impact volunteer match software and maintain databases. Provide marketing and outreach services including online, written and oral communications. Provide support to VCR’s in-house volunteer program and assist/organize events and celebrations.
This is a part time position from 16 to 20 hours per week Monday to Thursday between 10:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Qualifications & Experience:
High school diploma with additional relevant post-secondary education or equivalent experience. Certificate in Marketing, Office Administration, Non-Profit Management and/or Volunteer Management is a strong asset.
Strong computer skills and experience including Excel spreadsheets, database management and software marketing management systems (Mailchimp, Publisher for example) and WordPress website maintenance experience
Knowledge of community resources and experience working with community agencies and not-for-profits.
Good time management and organizational skills, demonstrated ability to be self-directed, well organized, able to prioritize and multi-task.
Friendly, personable, has a welcoming approach and is a team player.
Clear criminal record check.
Excellent communication skills including online, written and presentation.
Ability to foster and maintain positive working relationships.
