Details:
The Dishwasher is responsible for providing a clean and safe kitchen environment. The dishwasher will assume 100% responsibilities for the cleanliness of all the dishware, pots, pans, and cooking equipment in the kitchen. The role will organize the dish area, and follow all food safe regulations. The dishwasher is also a kitchen helper and will be responsible for assisting the cooks whenever and where ever needed.
Qualifications & Experience:
RESPONSIBILITIES
• Assume 100 % responsibility for the cleanliness of dishware
• Keep the dish machine clean and report any functional or mechanical problems to the kitchen supervisor
• Monitor dish machine water temperature and chemical levels to ensure sanitary wash cycle
• Wash and store all tableware and kitchenware
• Transport dishes to and from kitchen to café
• have good communication between café and cooks
• keep trash levels low throughout the day in both kitchen and cafeteria
• assist cooks with food preparation and help keep the kitchen in an orderly fashion
• Keep dish room clean and organized
• Sweep and wash floors at the end of the day
• Take out all recycling at end of day
• Do laundry as needed for kitchen and café, fold and put away.
• Complete opening and closing checklists
• Assist where ever needed
REQUIREMENTS
• Minimum 1 year experience working in catering, or fast paced kitchen
• Working experience in the hospitality industry preferred
• Current certification in FoodSafe Level 1
• Ability to use and care for food preparation equipment
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and co workers
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
