Mustel Group, a BC-based Market Research company, is seeking curious and enthusiastic individuals to conduct short face-to-face market research surveys a few times a year in the Campbell River area on behalf of BC Ferries. The surveys will be conducted during the first two weeks of August and November. The ideal candidate will be willing and able to work on both waves of research.The average person will work 3-5 days per wave, with shifts ranging from 6 - 9 hours (overtime paid).
We are looking for someone who is personable and outgoing, has a professional appearance and demeanor, and possesses excellent communication skills.
This position will conduct short face-to-face customer satisfaction interviews with passengers on-board BC Ferries. Successful candidate(s) will maintain confidentiality of data gathered and provide daily report via telephone or online reporting system.
Duties include:
- Intercept passengers onboard BC Ferries to conduct a short customer satisfaction survey
- Read scripted interview questions and record answers verbatim as the respondent provides them
- Meet expectations for flow rate (completes per hour) and quality, incorporating any coaching suggestions from supervisors
- Send daily report of completed surveys via telephone or online reporting system
- Maintain confidentiality of data gathered
- Adhere to all company policies and procedures

PLEASE NOTE: As this position requires you to conduct face-to-face interviews for the duration of the shifts noted above, you must be comfortable with standing on your feet for long periods of time.
Qualifications & Experience:
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Articulate, professional and pleasant demeanor
- Fluent English skills, verbal and written
- Basic computer skills and minimum 35 wpm typing speed
- Ability to work effectively in a team oriented environment
- Previous research experience an asset
Nice to have but not required:
- Market research experience
- Other language fluency
- Experience using Android tablets or iPads
