Details:
Under the supervision of the Executive Director, Finance Administrator will be responsible ensuring effective administration of office systems and financial systems of Sacred Wolf Friendship Centre: this position is .8FTE or 28 hours a week.
Accounts receivable and payable, banking and bank reconciliations
General ledger, financial statements preparation and reporting
Prepare bills to funding sources and projects
Verification of invoices as required and payment of all invoices
Maintaining records of invoices, receipts, cheques, cheque requests, mileage/travel claims and other personnel claims, etc.
Tracking all funds owed from and to projects and transferring accordingly
Ensuring adherence to employment standards, Canada Revenue Agency, Workers’ Compensation and Sacred Wolf Friendship Centre’s Policies and Procedures Manual
Managing (record and filing) all payroll, timesheets, leave of absence applications and everything that involves remuneration and remittance as required
Prepare quarterly financial reports for Board of Directors
Prepare consolidated financial projections and reports semi-annually and annually
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or Certificate with significant experience in financial administration and/or book keeping management and strong references
Experience in public communication to complete financial presentations at Annual General Meetings
Ability to understand and communicate effectively and efficiently with staff and auditing firms
Knowledge and understanding of the local First Nations and indigenous culture
Warm, nonjudgmental, patient, self sufficient, assertive and adaptable and reliable
Excellent interpersonal communication, verbal and written
