Details:
Air pilots perform some or all of the following duties:
Conduct preflight inspection of aircraft and check passenger and cargo distribution to ensure that weight and balance specifications are met
Coordinate flight activities with ground crews and airtraffic
control, inform crew members of flight and test procedures and direct activities of aircraft crew during flights
Contact control towers for takeoff clearances, arrival instructions and other
information
Conduct inflight tests and monitor functioning of aircraft equipment and
systems during flights, maintain communications with flight dispatchers and
weather forecasters and respond to and report inflight
emergencies and malfunctions
Prepare flight evaluation reportsHelicopter detailing – washing/waxing, etc.
Hangar and grounds upkeep
Permanent full-time position
Pilot may progress to fixed wing copilot and pilot positions with required hours
of flying experience and completion of licensing and endorsement requirements.
Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Commercial Canadian Helicopter license
1475 T.T.
Min 3 years industry experience
Private Fixed Wing License with min 100 hours (will train for commercial)
Required time on Type : R44 1100 hrs
Required time on Type: Astar B2 – 275 hrs
Valid Transport Canada Class 1 Medical
Must hold a current passport
Must have completed a High School diploma
Candidates must meet Transport Canada English proficiency standard.
Must be willing to live within 30 minutes of Campbell River Airport
Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft word and Excel
Background in Safety/SMS an asset
