Reporting to the President and working cooperatively with the General Manager, the ideal candidate will be an entrepreneurial individual that enjoys and excels at a variety of tasks, and has a “roll up the sleeves” personality to get things done. Responsibilities:
Managing and performing various administrative business functions in the operational office
Answering phones and first point of contact with clients who visit the office.
Directing and supervising staff
Ensuring all employee time records of fully completed
Manage all aspects of day to day external contract needs
Manage all aspects of day to day accounting functions including:
Managing accounts receivables and relationships with customers
Managing accounts payables and relationships with vendors and service providers
Managing payroll
Budgeting and forecasting
Managing insurance and claims
Contract administration
Managing Health and Safety Program administration
Skills & Qualifications:
Minimum five years of accounting or bookkeeping background
Previous hands-on payroll experience
Strong Sage 50 accounting software skills
Strong Microsoft Office software skills, including Word, Outlook and Excel is essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills; fluency in spoken and written English
Excellent time management skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritize work
Strong organizational, analytical, planning and problem-solving skills and excellent attention to detail
Self-motivated and able to work independently while supporting a team environment
Strong critical thinking skills with an aptitude for problem solving
Accounting Diploma or working towards a professional designation, an asset
Experience working with individuals at senior levels and providing executive level support, an asset
Knowledge of health and safety policies, procedures, governance and administrative systems, an asset

Qualifications & Experience:
3years minimum bookkeeping experience
Sage50 / Simply Accounting experience
Office Management experience
