Details:
The successful applicant will become centrally involved in, supporting the advancement of several priorities within economic development and lands and resources initiatives of Nation. You will work on a vast array of very cool projects with varying complexities, and be called upon to prepare financial summaries, prepare briefing notes, support negotiations, coordinate community engagement, participate in working groups and supporting development of policy and procedure, identifying opportunities and solutions to advance territory and business interests. With your experience in communications, graphics, web design and publishing you will have opportunity to share information across a number of platforms. You will work well independently and as part of a team to ensure the organization meets its mandate effectively and efficiently.

Qualifications & Experience:
Irregular hours may/will be required from time to time
Research lands, water and marine
Research business and industry trends and markets
Policy analysis (external and internal)
Develop and maintain effective Records Information Management (RIM) system
Coordinate projects
Handle inquiries
Prepare briefing notes
Take minutes
Attend meetings
Write/prepare grant funding proposals
Support reporting, - written, verbal
Financial data entry and some bookkeeping
Prepare financial reports from accounting software
Prepare proforma and cash flow statements
Develop and manage communications, prepare web design, graphics and publish
Education: University Degree/Diploma in Business, Administration, Lands and Resource Management or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Minimum 6 months experience in one or more of: business, land management, natural resources, project management, accounting, administration, community engagement and facilitation with First Nation communities. Additional experience in communications, graphics, web design and publishing are preferred.
