Great Bear Lodge is seeking a highly motivated candidate to work in our office in Port Hardy as Guest Experience Manager.
The Port Hardy office provides customer and logistical support for our grizzly bear viewing tours, which are conducted at our floating Great Bear Lodge on the central coast of BC. The management team and other staff are based at the lodge itself, with the office staff being based in Port Hardy. Job Description: You will have responsibility for operating the office for Great Bear Lodge in Port Hardy. The position is for 5 days per week, with weekend work required. Most days you will work alone, while some days you will share the work with another staff person. Your responsibilities will include the following: Customer Service and Sales: answering phone and email inquiries and taking bookings; entering client information in a computer system; processing credit card payments; sending invoices. Meeting clients as they prepare to board the floatplane for the Great Bear Lodge, and once again when they return from the lodge. Provide logistical support to the Great Bear Lodge: purchase all groceries and other items required by the lodge; dispose of recyclables and trash. Schedule floatplane transportation for the clients and staff General office duties: receiving packages; faxing and filing, preparing paperwork for the bookkeeper, sending marketing material.
Qualifications & Experience:
Minimum Position requirements: Basic computer proficiency. Strong interpersonal skills, clean professional appearance. Driven to provide excellent customer service and exceed expectations on a daily basis. Personal car (will be reimbursed for usage). Physical capability to assist in loading planes with groceries.
