Position: Line Cook
Reporting to the Executive Chef, the Line Cook will prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.
The key responsibilities and skills for this position are as follows:
Customer Experience:
• Preserve excellent levels of internal and external customer service
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Maintain a positive and professional approach with customers
Leadership:
• Communicate and support Owners vision in a manner which results in staff commitment
• Act as a role model for all staff by demonstrating professionalism in all aspects of work (lead by example)

Planning & Organization
• Ensures that high standards of sanitation, cleanliness and safety are maintained throughout all kitchen areas at all times
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
• Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Qualifications & Experience:
Specific Job Knowledge and Skills
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
• Ability to work independently and to partner with others to promote an environment of teamwork
• Maintain positive and productive working relationships with other employees and departments
• Detail orientated with the ability to multitask
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Proven cooking experience
• Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
• Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
• Familiar with industry’s best practices
• Culinary school diploma
