We are seeking to fill the position of Personal Insurance Consultant within our Private Wealth Group to support the Comox Valley and North Island Regions.
Reporting to the Manager, Wealth Advisory & Insurance, the Personal Insurance Consultant is responsible for developing, maintaining and enhancing employee and member relationships through the purchase and maintenance of insurance products. This is achieved by conducting personal interviews with members/clients/prospects to identify individual needs and goals while maintaining consistent practices. In addition, they will provide members/clients with estate, life, disability and health insurance services and promote Coastal Community’s insurance and investment services through Private Wealth Group in the community.
Qualifications & Experience:
The ideal candidate will have:
•Life & Accident Insurance License in the Province of BC
•2-3 years experience with life, disability and health insurance sales
In addition, our preferred candidate will also have:
•Ability to analyze and interpret the needs of clients and offer the appropriate options, solutions, and resolutions required
•Proven experience with business plan development
•Proven experience in providing detailed and accurate information to third parties
•Demonstrated critical thinking and communication skills
•Be proficient in Microsoft Office products
•Strong analytical and problem solving skills
