Resort / Hotel Management Couple

Shearwater Marine is looking for a Hotel Manager for our 50+ room Marine Resort. Combining our two lodges, plus our smaller housing facilities, our resort can hold about 70 guests at one time.

Shearwater is a semi-remote Marine Resort located on Denny Island, close to Bella Bella. We have our own Restaurant Bar & Grill, Grocery & Liquor Store, Marine Hardware Store, and Laundry Facilities. Shearwater is one of the main hubs for Mariners on their way to and from Alaska & Haida Gwaii, and we also run our own seasonal fishing charters. Due to our fantastic location, our hotels may be busy all year round.

We are seeking a talented and experienced hands-on manager to run our Resort Lodges. From experience, we prefer to hire a couple so as to employee the other for maintenance, and backup hotel support.

Requirements:
- Minimum 5 years of Hotel Management Experience
- Must have Front End customer service, booking, and coordination experience, as well as Back End housekeeping, maintenance, and supply ordering experience
- Must be computer literate with strong MS Excel skills (for our booking system)
- Must be comfortable living on site, with possible late night and early morning check ins
- Experience living and working in a small town or remote area

We anticipate this position to begin in early August. Accommodations will be provided at no cost. Relocation from our Port Hardy or Richmond Freight Terminals is provided. This is a full-time permanent position.
