BCEHS & Justice Institute Info Session

Are you interested in working as an Emergency Medical Responder?

 

BC Emergency Health Services and the Justice Institute of BC will be onsite at NIEFS on Friday, July 10th from 1:00-3:00pm.  

This is a great opportunity learn about career opportunities across the North Island as an Emergency Medical Responder and what it takes to make it happen!

This information session is open to the public but registration is required.  Please contact NIEFS at 250.286.3441 to register.

British Columbia Emergency Health Services (BCEHS) is looking to hire and fund training and licensing for new Emergency Medical Responders in the following communities:

  • Alert Bay, Port Hardy, Port McNeill, Sayward, Sointula, Tahsis, Zeballos, Gold River, Port Alice, Bella Bella

The Justice Institute of BC (JIBC) will be liaising with BCEHS to recruit the students and deliver the training and licensing to the successful applicants. The Emergency Medical Responder certification will also enable applicants to find employment within sectors such as oil & gas, fire & rescue and it will also prepare graduates to build on their qualifications and experience to enter other health care professions such as health care aid, nursing and step into the primary care paramedic designation.
